FCAEA hosts Nairobi launch of ‘The Mayor of Mogadishu’ by Andrew Harding

img_8902The Foreign Correspondents’ Association of East Africa was delighted to host the Nairobi book launch of ‘The Mayor of Mogadishu’ by BBC correspondent Andrew Harding.

On a balmy October evening, some 150 people – from journalists and artists to students and diplomats – filled the beautiful rooftop at Pawa 254 to hear from Andrew about the process of writing the book and his main subject, Mohamed “Tarzan” Nur.

The stock of books, published in the UK by Hurst, available that evening quickly sold out.  We at the FCAEA were happy to see so many new – and familiar! – faces in the crowd and we look forward to hosting more public events in Nairobi.
